	Dental implants are an excellent replacement for teeth that have been lost due to gum disease, tooth decay, or injury. Dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone, where they then integrate with the bone forming a strong, permanent replacement for the natural tooth. 	We understand that many of our patients are hesitant to pursue periodontal treatments because of fear or anxiety of dental procedures. We offer patients several sedation options, including intravenous (IV) sedation. Sedation allows the patient to completely relax during the procedure and limits any memory of the experience.
